Probably you know it: you have written an own application and want to create a help for your app. But you must realize that progs such as HCW are hard to handle and you must care about many tiny things. Help 5.0 goes another way: it is easy to handle and offers common formatting interfaces for text and other elements (can be images or OLE objects). So working with Help 5.0 is like using Word or StarOffice. You just have to create links to several topics and to create a hierarchie for the topics - and that via simple Drag&Drop!

Well - there is one disadvantage: the files created by Help 5.0 are of an own format (*.hh5) - so yuo cannot call helpfiles with common apps like WinHelp32 or the new HTML help, so you have to provide Help 5.0 with your program. But Help's purpose is not only to act as an help creator - no -you can simply use it as an standalone text application such as Wordpad, cos except the custom hh5-files it understands Rich Text including OLE objects (images, sounds, videos, diagrams ecetera). Expect Help 5.0 to be downloadable within the middle of May, cos Help is nearly finished (this is one reason why the FTP-Client YaFC will be delayed - oops!).
