To Boldly Glow — Beta Launch Beta
To Boldly Glow is now live at toboldlyglow.huepattl.de — as a beta. It's an interactive, real-time 3D solar system rendered entirely in your browser via WebGPU, with no backend and nothing to install.
What it does
Planets sit at their true, currently computed positions rather than a fixed animation loop — the simulation clock drives real orbital mechanics, and you can speed it up, slow it down, or run it in reverse to watch orbits and rotations play out at any rate.
Explore your way
Orbit any body to inspect it up close, or switch to a free-fly camera and pilot through the system like a spacecraft. There's also a new autopilot tour: start it and the camera flies itself, cruising toward the nearest not-yet-visited planet, looping in for a close flyby, then continuing on — an endless, hands-off ride through the system.
Why beta
This is an early release and still actively evolving — expect rough edges, and feedback is very welcome via the GitHub repository.
