Links to Delphi-related sites

Not content with the stuff you found at Neveprise's? Okay, let us see if those links below can help. Note that these references are subject to change, so if you find any link of your interest, please write it down, so that you can access it any time, even if removed from dis list. Usually, those sites offer freeware including hs sourcecode.

Inprise Corporation/Borland.Com www.inprise.com www.borland.com

God of course is mentioned first in this list. Here you can find anything 'bout Borland products, including Delphi. E.g. you'll find latest service packs for your IDE plus components etc. I recommend to open the site www.borland.com/devsupport/delphi/qanda/index.html - here you'll find a large FAQ which also discusses Database topics, which is excluded at Neveprise.

Dream Dimensions www.dream-dimensions.de

The site of Nagilum, co-founder and member of class(TTrash_Inc.). He also offers strong support for Delphi programmers, you'll find very exciting units and components, apps as well as latest samples of his developements for Simple Disease, including DirectX (with DelphiX, see below).

c't, Heise (German site, magazine publisher) www.heise.de

c't is a sophisticated computer magazine that is more related to computers themselves, not specialized to "WinWord-HowTo's". Regulary, you'll find a Delphi Corner in there, discussing misc. hacking tips and techniques. Normally, the listings are to be downloaded via ftp or mailbox (you'll find the access over there).

efg's Computer Lab / Reference Library http://www.efg2.com/Lab http://www.efg2.com/Lab/Library

A really huge playground especially for developers that deal with graphic algorythms. Beside (sample) applications, there is provided a lot of source code, explanations and other references. It is a must. En plus, there are many refs and links to ANY other programming cathegory: graphx, sound, word processing, hardware, comms etc.

Hiroyuki Hori www.ingjapan.ne.jp/hori/index-e.html

DelphiX: The site that offers what you've always been looking for: Delphi interface units for the latest DirectX SDK! You'll find translations of original C-headers plus enhanced Encapsulations for Delphi 3 and 4, including visualized components for DirectDraw, Direct3D, DirectSound, DirectPlay, DirectInput, DirectShow, DirectAnimation, sprite engines etc. Learning gets very easy due to low-level examples that let you understand the DirectX concept. Hori's interfaces are both well for full screen apps (games) an windowed apps (multimedia).
If you want to go deeper into 3D-developing, it is recommended that you get the original helpfiles of the
DirectX 6 SDK from Microsoft.

White Ants Systemhouse BV www.whiteants.com

Offers some useful Delphi components, especially one that enables you to create apps that can be loaded into the system tray, next to the clock.

Alexander Obukhov aleko@bcsmi.minsk.by

Here find a very important component: an extension called RichEdit98. It offers full OLE functionality so that your Delphi apps can include rich texts with graphics, sounds, URLs ecetera. Included is a "normal" richedit control and an appropriate version for databases. You can download this component for example on the ftp site named below as "[Unknown]": http://ftp.optiva.ee/delphi/ftp/d30free/ .

[Unknown] http://ftp.optiva.ee/delphi/ftp/

FTP area, with many many downloadable freeware for Delphi, C and Java developers. Components, freware and documentations.

Ben's Delphi Page http://www.radix.net/~bziegler/Delphi/

Cool website presenting various Delphi applications and components, mainly webbased. For example you can find complete www and ftp APIS, including sample applications (e.g. an ftp-client and some kind of ICQ).

Delphi Super Page http://sunsite.icm.edu.pl/delphi/

Again a very large website presenting a various number of Delphi-specific components etc.

Delphi Jedi Project http://www.delphi-jedi.org

If you are looking for translations of C++ header files for Delphi, this is the right site for you! This free gathering of Delphi programmers offers various units and components, such as CAPI, TAPI, DirectX etc. En plus, there will be an article database soon, where you can read documents discussing special programming affairs.
