To Boldly Glow
A real-time 3D model of the solar system that runs in your browser.
To Boldly Glow renders the solar system in real time with WebGPU, entirely in your browser. There is nothing to install and no server behind it. The planets sit at their positions computed for the current date, not in a pre-made animation. It is a beta: some parts are unfinished, and feedback is welcome.
Features
Steer the camera yourself or let the autopilot fly.
Orbit and free-fly camera
Circle any planet or moon to look at it closely, or switch to a free-fly camera and move through the system like a spacecraft.
Autopilot tour
The tour flies the camera to the nearest planet not yet visited, passes close by it and moves on. It runs until you stop it.
Simulation clock
Speed time up, slow it down or run it backwards. Orbits and rotations are computed from orbital mechanics at every rate.
